Training / Literacy

Are you leading literacy in your school at Primary or Secondary level? Do you need to motivate your staff and students to improve their literacy? This course is designed to help schools improve standards through better provision for literacy. The course will help you learn practical ways to:

develop cross curricular strategies for teaching literacy. You would leave the course with 20 strategies to try in classrooms the next day
involve students, parents and governors as volunteer tutors, peer tutors and product developers. The course will give you practical ways to get students teaching each other and parents and governors volunteering in schools
train staff who are non-specialists develop resources for the intra and internet for staff for staff, students and parents to use in class or at home.

We are award winners in national literacy initiatives having won the Schools' Network and TES National Awards for Literacy.
